Dear all, am sharing this lesson plan that I carried out last week in 5 Bukhari. Do try it in your classroom and see how it goes. You know it would be nice to get some feedback on what challenges you face in carrying this out. It would be very professional teacher talk! Hope to hear from you :)

FORM 2 LESSON PLAN: Simple Present and Simple Past

Here's the Form 2 lesson plan for next week. We are going to revise simple present and simple past. From my experience is it always good to contrast the two tenses in one lesson so that SS see the difference. A little extra care is needed to explain irregular verbs though! Feel free to use and share. It would be nice to get some feedback with your classes too. Teaching is an art so don't worry about making mistakes!

Happy teaching!

RAP it! Active reading in the house

Next week am using the workbook that the panel has bought. I will be dealing with a reading passage adn have decided to employ one of the active reading strategies in the HEBAT module. In the HEBAT course, we were exposed to some ACTIVE reading strategies but some are suitable for whole chapters instead of passages. I discovered that the most suitable for a reading passage would be RAP. You may not use the same workbook but you can apply the same strategies. Feel free to use and share.
